Research and Independent Study

Research and independent study is; student-interest based, student-directed, student-controlled, investigations of real problems, dependent upon skills, and is an ongoing replacement task.

Research and independent study require a personal interpretation and response rather than merely reporting information already in print.  Independent research has no prescribed product.  The product is determined by the student as an extension of the research.
