Are you finding it challenging to find time to go to the library to check out new books? We now have a new way for you and your children to read at home! Our new Houghton Mifflin Reading Series allows children to access hundreds of “just right” books from home by accessing http://eduplace.com/eservices. You’ll find the online books motivating to your children and the website so highly frequented, that you’ll want to add it to your favorites! We also have a link on our Hopkins website on the student and teacher pages.
Follow the directions below from your home or anywhere with internet access!
Enter one of the following usernames:
Kindergarten: kfrogs
1st grade: 1frogs
2nd grade: 2frogs
3rd grade: 3 frogs
4th grade: 4 frogs
5th grade: 5 frogs
Enter student for password (same for everybody).
Click Login.
Click the Online Leveled Books logo.
Click the Student Group graphic your child has been assigned. Click Level ________.
Click Find Books. Browse by topic.
Click topic icon that interests you.
Choose a book to read by clicking its cover. The colored covers include audio. (Most helpful for early readers or students needing a strong fluency model.)
The end of the book includes response questions and activities.
Students will also have opportunities to access the online books from school during their independent reading time. As students develop as readers, their student groups will change. We will notify you when this occurs.
